The USS Cedar was a heavy cruiser starship of the Akira-class built by Starfleet in the 24th century. (Star Trek: Phoenix-X)
History[]
In 2375, the Cedar was disabled by the Trozonian generation warship Gelomira when on a mission to protect Earth along with the Federation fleet. ("Bio Level 4")
Its bad luck continued in 2378, when it was to explore the ruins of a destroyed culture on the Nikon homeworld. Lieutenant Commander Data of the USS Enterprise-E had joined their mission temporarily, to beam down to the radiation-drenched planet and secure a breathable area of space. Unfortunately, before they could get to the Nikon homeworld, the Cedar was confronted by two alien ships full of holograms, who shot the ship down. The Cedar crashed on a nearby planet. Starfleet took its time in cleaning up the ship. ("Afterdeath")
In 2383, the Cedar and the Rune chased an enemy Fragma tech-ship, the Trance, and a Turismo ship, the Nirovoule, after a kidnapping transgressed. The hostages, convicted Tech-Team personnel, were saved by the Nirovoule, only to be recaptured by the Cedar in order to be charged in Federation Court. The Cedar picked up the convicted Tech-Team personnel, along with a full manifest more at Teketekon Station, and brought them back to Earth. ("Transphasic Meltdown")
