The Federation Starship Recognition Chart featured "speculative" (non-canon) Federation starship classes operating after the Romulan War, in a period roughly between 2160 and 2220. These included a Nordenskjold-class (possibly design-related to Baton Rouge-class cruisers). The Nordenskjold-class was designated as a MK III/02 light cruiser, with two ships in the class, NCC-1427 and NCC-1430, which remained in service in 2290.
