The Federation Naval Patrol was a department of the Federation that dealt with sea ships patrolling oceans on Federation worlds.

The Naval Patrol was based in Annapolis, Maryland on Earth, at the site of the former United States Naval Academy. Many Starfleet cadets received naval training there, including Nebula Squadron cadets Ben Bartholomew, Justin Shive and Timothy Sinclair. (Star Trek: Pendragon: "Children of the Burning Heart")

There were also Naval Patrol facilities on Pacifica. Patrolman Joe Barranco was stationed at one in the 2380s. (PDN: "The Significance of a Single Day")
