For the dwarf planet of the same name, see Eris (planet).

Eris was a Vorta in service to the Dominion.

Eris was one of the few Vorta to possess psionic powers. She was trained to be a field agent and had extensive training, including combat training with the use of energy pistols and the rhutala fighting style. Her primary role was to make first contact with species and governments that had not yet heard of the Dominion (or more specifically, the connection between the Vorta and the Dominion). However, her job made her extremely paranoid and worrisome, though this persona was only visible in private. She was also lovers with Sadok'toran Liska. (The Dominion War Sourcebook: The Fires of Armageddon, The Renewal Offensive)

In 2370, Eris attempted to infiltrate Deep Space 9 by pretending to be fleeing from the Jem'Hadar. She claimed to be from the planet Kurill Prime, which had recently been conquered by the Dominion. Her ruse was discovered after she had escaped with Benjamin Sisko, Quark and the crew of Deep Space 9 back to the Alpha Quadrant. When they attempted to apprehend her she was transported away. (DS9: "The Jem'Hadar")

Eris eventually made it back to the Dominion and provided a brief but critical report. She returned to the Alpha Quadrant in 2373 with the first Dominion force to head for Cardassia. She was later stationed on Betazed, using her telekinesis to find Betazoid rebels. While visiting Liska at her headquarters on New Xindus, the Xindi launched a massive attack on Cardassian bases. (The Renewal Offensive)

Both Liska and Eris despised Weyoun and after the death of Weyoun 5, they saw it as a sign of more competent Dominion leadership. After obtaining of a vial of semen from the Rondac Cloning Center, Eris became pregnant with what they expected to be the first Vorta child born into the Alpha Quadrant. She was relieved of her duties and moved into Liska's quarters on New Xindus, where she happily awaited the final Dominion victory so they could raise the child in peace.
