The Emred class was a type of armed scout that saw service with the Cardassian Guard during the 24th century.
The Emred was developed during the Federation-Cardassian War as a reconnaissance vessel. It quickly became popular in the Guard due to its speed, firepower and powerful shields making it far more versatile than an ordinary scout.
