|"Dream a Little Dream of Me"|
|Original post date:||2008|
Ro Nevin is missing, presumed dead. Corey Aster is in a coma, a "guest" of the Romulans. But his old counselor, and now friend, USS Cantabrian-A officer Scott Fack undertakes a secret mission to prepare Aster for transport back to the Federation, whether the Romulans are willing to allow him to or not.
- This originally was a pitch to be offered to Star Trek: Hidden Frontier but, as that series does not accept fan pitches, the Star Trek: The Cantabrian Expeditions author expanded the story to add the Scott Fack and Noel Turner characters as well as expand the back-story of both Fack and Aster.
- The title references the song "Dream a Little Dream of Me", a song popularized by Cass Elliot from famous 1960s band, The Mamas & the Papas.
- This stand-alone episode fleshes out Fack's time on Earth after the Battle of Wolf 359 in 2367. Backstory always indicated he helped rescue survivors of the battle and counsel both those who survived and those who had loved ones that died in the battle, including Benjamin and Jake Sisko. This story adds Corey Aster to those patients.
