Dhiemm was the yeoman and the diplomatic officer of the RIS Bouteina. He was known to hate one kind of holographic novels in particular: "soap operas". However, he did negotiate an exchange of redshirts and he preferred to drink Romulan ale. (RIS Bouteina: "Marianela")

He was known for his eloquence as a speaker, giving him an asset in diplomacy. However, cronyism led him to become something like a pariah in the diplomatic corps, even if he was as good as any other diplomat. But he didn't like to have dialogue set in stone. He would rather use the subjective mode of a holodeck whenever he could use one. He could even indulge in combat whenever the situation demanded him to do so. And he ate gagh when no one else in the captain's dining room wanted to eat gagh. Also, his lack of ability in cooking gagh greatly angered the gagh-eaters of the ship whenever he cooked gagh, especially Vaebn Mairex and Brianna Reiss. (RIS Bouteina: "Super Size Me")

He negotiated with the Simpsons under what terms the away team on Simpson's Planet could purchase Homer Simpson a new pair of shorts for his son. Also, he bartered with Neleras and Annika the terms under which they could help the locals become chartered cheaters.

During the zombie crisis, he fought back the zombies as they came near the bridge. Also, he hatched a plan with Relm so he could activate the holodeck while Relm gets out of it to engage in a bat'leth fight. After the security zombie redshirts have been eliminated, he goes with Neleras as an away team to pour the cure to the zombification sickness into the life support systems. (RIS Bouteina: "Eidolon")

Due to his complete neutrality towards hockey, he was chosen to referee the game between the Lyran team of the Chotiska, the Wildcats, led by Captain Pilerk, and the team of his own ship, the Praetorians, at Starbase 47. However, his comment during the opening face-off of the overtime period, Play ball!, indicated that he might have preferred baseball instead. (RIS Bouteina: "A Hockey Game Broke Out", "Ultimate Wager")
