Detached Curiosity and Idle Speculation is a short story by the pseudonymous jespah.
The story is told from the perspective of Frank Todd, a MACO private on the Enterprise (NX-01).
The story is a direct sequel to In Between Days: Reflections Down a Corridor and is about two homosexual crewmen, and therefore could arguably be considered slash fiction.
On January 14, 2154, Todd meets up with Stellar Cartographer Dave Constantine. The two men talk about the other version of the NX-01 that they have recently met, and comment on the fact that they ended up together. The story ends with a promise to begin a new relationship (ENT: "E2").
