Col Louk was a Bajoran Starfleet security officer in the late 24th century. His assignments included the USS Pendragon. (Star Trek: Pendragon)

Early life[]

Col was born on Valo II in 2350, part of a generation of Bajorans born after their parents fled the Cardassian Occupation of Bajor, and who never saw their people's homeworld until after the Cardassian withdrawal in 2369.

Col himself first set foot on Bajor in 2370 at the age of twenty, during the period when the Alliance for Global Unity sought to gain control of the Bajoran government.

Academy[]

After witnessing how the Starfleet crew of Deep Space 9 risked their lives to save Bajor, Col petitioned for entrance into Starfleet Academy. He was sponsored by Admiral Mark Coleman.

Col was one of many cadets trapped on Earth during the Federation Civil War, and he secretly joined the resistance group opposed to Admiral Leyton's regime.

He was part of the first postwar graduating class in 2374, and received special commendation for his heroism during Operation Return and the assault on Starfleet Headquarters.

Career[]

Ensign Col's first assignment was as a warp systems specialist aboard the USS Venture. Though he was critical of the Federation's isolationist policies, especially when they meant leaving Bajor to internal factionism, he remained a loyal officer.

In 2377, he transferred to Project Restoration under the direction of Chief Miles O'Brien. Several months into his assignment, Col helped track and take down a saboteur out to destroy the project. In the aftermath, he was promoted to lieutenant junior grade and transferred to the security division.

Col joined the security department on the USS Pendragon during her stop at Bajor in early 2379, serving under Lieutenant Ben Riniker. After Riniker's transfer to the Avalon in 2382, Captain Sinclair promoted him to full lieutenant, and Col took over as the Pendragon's Security Chief. (PDN: "Exile", "Tabula Rasa", et. al)

In 2384, he became involved with the Cult of the Pah-Wraiths, and began a downward spiral that eventually led to his discharge from Starfleet. (PDN: "The Disciple", "Fugue")
