A clipper is a starship that can travel at great velocities and is used for limited cargo ferrying and passenger services. Its hull is normally quite small to allow it quick movement.

The Clarke-class starship, constructed by Starfleet in the 23rd century, was a diplomatic clipper. (Starfleet Dynamics)
