The Citation of Exceptional Service is an award given to members of the Federation military who serve for 12 continuous years with no serious disciplinary actions on their record. For every four years in service after the award is given, a star is awarded. Thus, a service member with 26 years of experience would have a citation with three stars, and a service member with 106 years of experience would have a citation with twenty-three stars.
