HistoryEdit

Early LifeEdit

Chandler was born in 2129 (In Between Days:Reversal).

StarfleetEdit

Chip was with the USS Defiant (NCC-1764) from the very beginning. He initially worked in Security, but was switched to Tactical in order to provide relief for Doug Beckett (In Between Days:Paving Stones Made From Good Intentions), (In Between Days:Reversal). After the departure of Hayes, Chip was promoted over Aidan MacKenzie (mirror), but was sometimes tapped for less appealing details, such as exterminating mice from the ship, a task that he deliberately failed at in order to mildly protest against his treatment on the ship (In Between Days:Brown).

Chip remained in charge of Tactical until he was able to leave with his family in 2161 (In Between Days:The Conspiracy), (In Between Days:Temper).

First temporal dislocation due to an errant Pulse ShotEdit

In 2178, when the Empress was assassinated, Chip became the captain of the Defiant. He immediately called for an end to the no fraternization rule, told his children that they would not be in the competition to run the Terran Empire, and proposed marriage to Lucy Stone (In Between Days:Temper).

Second temporal dislocation due to an errant Pulse ShotEdit

In 2161, Chandler and Lucy escaped to the surface of Lafa II with Takara and Takeo, as Aidan escaped with Susan Cheshire and his son, Kira MacKenzie Sato (In Between Days:Temper).

Personal LifeEdit

He dated MACO Deborah Haddon until her death in 2157 (In Between Days:Reversal). In late 2157, he was approached by the Empress and seduced by her. She had twins, her only daughter, Takara, and Takeo. In 2160, Chip began dating Science ensign Lucy Stone (In Between Days:Temper).

Memorable QuotesEdit

"As Captain of the Defiant, the first change I will make is in the ship-wide no-marriages rule. From now on, anyone serving on the Defiant can, if they wish, have a relationship, or even marry. And this can even be with people who are serving on the ship with you. I have no need to control that aspect of your lives, but you should be mindful, now, that you owe me a bit for now allowing this. I expect your loyalty, but only when it comes to the ship. Your primary loyalty will be to the Emperor."
— (In Between Days:Temper)
