Centauri VII is a planet in the Alpha Centauri system. It is the homeworld of the Centaurians (not to be confused with the Centaurans), and is also the site of a Federation colony.

Though much of their ancient history is lost in myth and legend, it is believed that Centaurian civilization actually originated on Earth. In response to "cultural contamination" from the Olympians and the Platonians, the Preservers transplanted a segment of Earth's Pan-Hellene culture to Alpha Centauri A VII. Old Centaurian legends tell of a time "when the stars changed."
Centauri VII was the homeworld of the artist, Taranullus. Original prints of his creation lithographs were prized and aged collectibles when observed by Spock in 2269 on planet Holberg 917G in the Omega system. (TOS: "Requiem for Methuselah")
In the early 21st century, Centaurians begin a concerted effort to populate other planets within their own star system, using solar sail vessels. Not long after, they made contact with the Centaurans of Alpha Centauri IV.
Centauri VII, Centauri IV, and their colonies came together in 2020 to form the Concordium of Planets.
In the year 2028, astronomers on Alpha Centauri VII picked up intelligent signals from outside their system, later identified as originating from Vulcan. Official first contact between the Centaurian people and Vulcan occured in 2052. (FASA; Star Trek: Pendragon)
In 2155, Starwide Merchants, Inc. was founded in Grinitaine, Alpha Centauri to finance and equip colonial expeditions.
Centauri VII was a key Coalition shipbuilding facility during the Earth-Romulan War.
