Brown University (Lyran classification: research university) was a university on Earth, founded in the 18th century. It was, until 1776, known as the College of the English Colony of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations. It was known as one of the most prestigious universities on Earth.
Mydia Bunansa graduated from Brown University with two degrees before serving on the crew of the USS Antechrist as its physical therapist: a DPT from the Phlox School of Physical Therapy and a MBA from Prime Business School. (Star Trek: False Vacuum: "Wagon Train to the Stars")

Prime Business School was inspired by an actual graduate-level business program offered at Brown: the Program in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship (PRIME), which, while having some elements in common with a MBA, did not amount to one. In actuality, the unit responsible for PRIME also operated the Brown component of the executive MBA offered jointly by Brown and IE Business School, which was primarily online but with several in-person sessions. It is assumed that, at some point between the 2010s and the late 24th century, Brown University decided to open an actual business school called Prime Business School out of that unit.
