The beer mile is an event that involved drinking alcohol, invented in late 20th century.

The beer mile was a fixture of the Longueuil Cup playoffs in the 23rd century, being contested in both men and women divisions. Aurelia Hambsch was Earth's female world record holder as of 2291 and was the first to break the elusive six-minute barrier for women. (Star Trek: The Stoneship Files: "Alcoholic Massacre, Part II")

As with beer pong, beer milers' performance was adversely affected after undergoing stomach pumping. (Star Trek: The Stoneship Files: "Super-Jupiter Beacon")

The beer mile was run as follows: contestants ran four laps around a 400-meter track, at the beginning of each they drank a 12-oz bottle or can of beer.
