For other meanings of "Baltimore", see Baltimore (disambiguation).

Baltimore was a city in the state of Maryland on Earth's North American continent. During the 20th and 21st centuries, it was a key port of call on the Chesapeake Bay. It was also the location of Johns Hopkins University. (TOS novel: Traitor Winds)

The city suffered heavy damage during the Third World War when nuclear devices were detonated over Washington, DC, blasting the surrounding states "off the map." (Star Trek: First Contact novelization)

The city eventually recovered. By the 23rd century, Baltimore's New Harbor Place was a popular aquatic attraction and center of commerce and Johns Hopkins was considered one of the Federation's leading medical schools. (TOS novel: Traitor Winds)

In the 23rd and 24th centuries, several Federation starships were named for the city, as was the New Pride of Baltimore, a civilian vessel which participated in "The Great Starship Race" of 2269. (TOS novel: The Great Starship Race)

Notable persons from BaltimoreEdit

Sarah Higgins was born in Baltimore in 2344. (Star Trek: Pendragon: "Charade")
