The Atlantis project was a project initialized in in 2367 as a way of creating a new continent in the Atlantic Ocean on Earth.
Jean-Luc Picard was offered the job of head Director shortly after his rescue from the Borg. Picard turned down the offer. (TNG: "Family")
- According to the Star Trek: New Frontier novel Stone and Anvil, the Atlantis project already existed as a vital project in the 2350s.
