Lieutenant Arex was one of the USS Enterprise's navigators between 2269 and 2270.
Arex started to age regressively in the negative universe in 2270. Enterprise chief medical officer Dr. Leonard McCoy brought him back to his adult form via the transporter. (TAS: "The Counter-Clock Incident")
He also take command of the Enterprise when the senior staff were having lunch. He and fellow officer M'Ress would have their lunch break later. (TAS: "The Practical Joker")
- Star Trek: The Animated Series claimed Arex was Edosian, while Peter David's Star Trek: New Frontier novels state he is a Triexian.
