Anesthizine, is an anesthetic. It is deployed on Federation starships as a gas which can be delivered through the vessel's life-support systems. (TNG: "The Hunted"); VOY: "Message in a Bottle"

In 2372, Cantabrian security chief Ulitania Jonar ordered anesthizine to be used to subdue a fighting civilian crowd aboard the Cantabrian. This was effective in control the crowd to be moved to the ship's brig. (Star Trek: The Cantabrian Expeditions: "Isolation")
