The Amchitka-class light cruiser was a type of starship on active duty in Starfleet during at least the late 23rd century. (Starfleet Prototypes)

The class was prototyped in 2288 and ships of the class were expected to be in service by 2293.

The only known name of this class was the lead ship and prototype, USS Amchitka.
