Abaras Castien was a Centauran politician and diplomat in the 24th century. He was married to Sherai Castien, a renowned artist and holo-sculptor, and the couple had four children, Pol, Oriessa, Esras and Eliaseth. (Star Trek: Pendragon)
During his career, he held many positions of influence, including two terms in the Centauran Parliament and another two as Alpha Centauri IV's representative to the Concordium. He also served as an adviser to President Dana Myrrin and a member of the Diplomatic Council. Though he was never given the rank of Ambassador, Castien was appointed Federation Special Envoy to Ekos and Zeon at one point in his career. (Saints of Infinity)
