263rd Marine Strike Group

The 263rd Marine Strike Group was a marine strike group embarked on the Sovereign-class heavy cruiser USS Black Hawk beginning in 2378. The current Officer in Charge is Colonel William "Junior" Hof, who also serves as the Black Hawk's Second officer.
The nickname for the 263rd was "The Hawk's Talons". It's motto is "We are the BOLD!", in reference the the Black Hawk's primary motto "Fortune Favors the Bold".
The 263rd is designated a Support MOS, which includes a Military Police detachment that doubles as an Diplomatic Honor Guard Unit. Members of the 263rd oversees Admiral Higdon's primary security detachment for away missions and diplomatic functions while primary security functions aboard the Black Hawk and Starbase 12 remains with those Starfleet Security detachments, which most of the units' marines doubles with. It also has two F-9D Tigershark Light fighters assigned to the Black Hawk shuttle complement.
A senior SFMC NCO is attached to the admiral as a "Body Guard" while on Starbase Rockford and on diplomatic forays.
